These diverse views heard during the research for this book indicate some of the problems in trying to give an accurate picture of the war years in Cornwall. If the censorship of the time and the gap of fifty years is added then the difficulties multiply. This is not a comprehensive account, but we hope it wil give a flavour of a time which has had such an effect on people for good or ill. "The Second World War in Cornwall?
